Jump

Assignment: Jump
2/14/2017

For this assignment we were required to animate a character jumping up in the air and landing. One of the most important aspects of this animation was anticipation. The character would have to have an anticipation pose before they were about to lift off of the ground so that they didn't just float up effortlessly. They would also have to anticipate the landing and/or brace for the impact of their feet to the ground and then absorb their weight as they landed. For this project one of the most difficult aspects for me was timing. I struggled to have the character in the air for an appropriate amount of time to where it didn't just seem like they were floating for too long. Other than that, the arms are the only other thing that seemed to be a little tricky in terms of when they shoot up in the air and when they fall back down after the impact of the landing.
